New Work - Before and After

One of our talented Masons after rebuilding this chimney from the foundation up and pouring a new crown. Notice the great brick match and the crown with drip edge!

Our Fireplace My husband and I went looking for the perfect “direct vent fireplace” for our new home. The first place we visited was Vonderhaar’s. We got a lot of information and the people were kind and patient with us. After visiting 3 other places, we went back to talk to the good people at Vonderhaar’s. At that time we knew what firebox, mantel and granite that we wanted. We gave them our choices and they went to work getting it all together. After they got the prices together, they gave us the price it would be to install everything. In December it was a busy time but we still got our fireplace installed in just 6 weeks. It is everything we dreamed it would be.

I apologize for the delay in writing this letter but please don’t let that take away from the purpose of this letter. I had a service call in December in which Bill and Greg were dispatched to dianose the problem with my direct vent gas fireplace. These two gentlemen were extremely professional and polite. Once they had my fireplace working again they cleaned up and were preparing to leave my driveway. Just before they left, my fireplace went out again so I stopped them in my driveway to let them know. Bill and Greg were kind and didn’t show any frusteration with the fact that they were being asked to come back in and take another look. Once they took another look and diagnosed the problem they fixed it in a very timely manner.

I so appreciate the work they did, the time they spent, their professionalism and how courteous they were towards me the entire time they were here. I would reccomend Vonderhaar anytime and especially Greg and Bill.

Our adventure with Vonderhaar begam in December 2011 as Brittany was planning to go to Canada for a wedding. Thank you for selling us on the E33 rather than the smaller unit we thought we wanted. The requirement of a custom low profile faceplate and an ususually warm winter delayed the project to November 2012.

Our fireplace was installed January 15, 2013 with a HUGE effort by the installation team. The guys found a need for a crownseal on the chimney and did that too. The masons also did a great job on the hearth. Jennifer and Ryan patiently walked us through the paperwork and scheduling. We love our new fireplace! Our friends and family are also impressed.
